The Forester is Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO). LPVO's are the ideal choice when speed and precision is required.
These type of optics have a very low or no (1x) starting magnification that allows the shooter to shoot with both eyes open like with a red dot.
When a precise shot is required, the Forester can zoom in up to 8x magnification for a well-aimed shot.

Because of these factors, LPVO's are popular for hunting, combat, dynamic shooting, and medium range plinking.

Build quality

The body of the Forester 1-8x24 VFD-3 is made of 6061-T6 aluminium and has a black anodized coating.
This means it can take a beating and has excellent corrosion resistance.

Also thanks to the choice of materials, the scope weighs only 531 grams. So it will hardly weigh your rifle down.

VFD-3 Reticle & Image quality

This scope from Vector Optics is equipped with a VFD-3 reticle with an illuminated center dot.
Thanks to the no fewer than eleven different brightness levels of the illuminated dot you can aim clearly and fast in different lighting conditions. You can change the brightness by turning the turret on the left side of the tube. The illuminated reticle uses a CR2032 battery.

The Forester has a tube diameter of 30mm and an objective diameter of 24mm.
This gives the rifle scope a decent light transmission relative to the low magnification.
The fully multi-coated lenses provide exceptionally sharp image quality, allowing you to observe and aim very accurately.
